Schrödinger People - Revolution

In modern society others are virtually invisible to us, ignored, passed by.
What if we truly could not see people who we did not know? They are simply not there; the masses are literally invisible and untouchable to each other.
But the Elite, they can see everyone and they get everything they could possibly want.
Except they don't want the Untouchables complaining, wanting what the Elite have, not doing as they are told.

Especially not fighting back.

The Last Humans - Omega & Alpha

The 50 billion people on the dusty dying Earth need the water from the ice rings of Saturn. The seven astronauts on the Aqua Libre spaceship are tasked to retrieve it: one million billion tons of ice.

They need to use the brand new, untried, revolutionary & monstrously powerful 'strangelet' drive, in order to bring back the massive payload. But the drive has to be tested so is fired on Earth just before they set off - with cataclysmic results for all of humanity.

Trapped in space, one of them goes mad, driven by the most primal instinct of all: survival. He does unspeakable things to his fellow astronauts, except for the fellow astronaut he loves.

The Last Humans - Alien Asylum

Intelligent beings want the same thing - to survive. This as true of the last two crew of the Aqua Libre as it is of the Ekz.
For the Ekz, the existential threat cannot be controlled - one of their twin suns is dying and when it does it will destroy their planet Val.
The Ekz need somewhere to go, somewhere alike enough to Val. They listen to the stars for many millennia: they still cannot find a place of refuge. Then an unlikely and unwelcome source gives them hope: alien visitors. These aliens - humans - happen to chance their way and tell the Ekz of a planet in their solar system, a planet called Mars.

The Last Humans - Homecoming

How would it be, returning to your home planet after millenia? You are the same person although you have been changed, transformed in every way by the unintended consequences of extended cryo-sleep and chemical processes that none foresaw, but of course you would be welcomed by your fellow man - wouldn't you?
Tim and Gemi's saucer-shaped spaceship lands in Roswell, New Mexico and they find it is not the same Earth. Continents have shifted, a world war has just been fought, and technology is in its infancy - again. And these Earth-dwellers are strangers: tall, differently shaped, speaking a language and using number systems that Tim and Gemi cannot comprehend.
Are they a threat to Earth? Certainly some in Area 51 think so.
